Paul RogerPaul Roger qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1980, having previously gained degrees in Biochemistry and Physiology (BSc) and Physiology and Biochemistry of Farm Animals (MSc). He worked in mixed practice, developing his interests in sheep health ad production and in animal welfare for over 25 years before setting up a consultancy in these areas of interest. He has been awarded the Diploma in Sheep Health and Production (RCVS) and has been granted emeritus specialist status in this. He also holds European Diplomas in Small Ruminant Health Management and in Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law. He is a past president of the Sheep Veterinary Society, the ECSRHM, AWSELVA and the Yorkshire Veterinary Society. He has experience in a wide range of veterinary situations and has acted as an expert witness for criminal and civil courts. As well as contributing to the literature in these disciplines, he has written articles for the lay press and been interviewed on radio and television and has regularly spoken at lay and professional meetings.
