Paul JacobsPaul Jacobs is a retired aerospace engineer in Alexandria, Virginia. A career Air Force officer, he graduated from West Point in 1971. After a tour with the US Army and the 82nd Airborne Division, he earned a master's degree in aerospace engineering rom Penn State University. After graduate school, he returned to active duty with the US Air Force. He was stationed at the Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards AFB, where he graduated from the Air Force Test Pilot School. He is a widely recognized aviation artist and author. He has published aviation art prints and has held one-man shows of his work. His paintings are in the collections of the Buzz Wagner Chapter of the Air Force Association, the Society of Flight Test Engineers, The Edwards Air Force Base Chapel, and several Air Force squadrons as well as numerous private collections. He has had paintings considered for the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission annual Trout Stamp Competition. He presently works part-time as a commission artist and illustrator. He co-authored and illustrated "Battle of Britain Illustrated" by McGraw-Hill, 2002. He has also been a passionate fly fisherman for over 40 years. He is a certified guide and a life member of Trout Unlimited. He devotes a great deal of time to helping people learn to be better fly fishermen and is active in raising equipment and money to be donated to wounded veteran groups. He spends approximately 100 days a year fly fishing in streams from Labrador through the western US to Alaska.
