Paul ElbertPaul Elbert, physicist-theologian and New Testament scholar, before retirement, was working in interpretive methods and narrative-rhetorical Greco-Roman backgrounds with respect to Luke-Acts, with a particular focus on the rhetorical use of exmples and precedents, together with the fulfillment of prophecy theme in Lukan thought. He has served as chair and as co-chair of the Formation of Luke-Acts section within the Society of Biblical Literature and is a former adjunct faculty member at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He was the founding editor of the Journal of Biblical and Pneumatological Research.
