Patrick Holland

Patrick Holland grew up outback Queensland. His novel The Long Road of the Junkmailer won the Queensland Premier’s Award for Emerging Author and was short-listed for The Commonwealth Writer’s Prize, best first book. His second novel, cite>The Mary Smokes Boys will appear in August 2010. A collection of his non-fiction, Riding the Trains in Japan will follow in 2011. The Source of the Sound won the Scott Prize and is his debut story collection.
