Patrick Dennis MurphyPATRICK D. MURPHY is Professor of English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He specializes in contemporary poetry and critical theory. His book publications include, as coeditor, Essentials of the Theory of Fiction (1988), Science Ficton from China (Praeger, 1989), The Poetic Fantastic (Greenwood, 1989), and Critical Essays on American Modernism (1991), and editor, Critical Essays on Gary Snyder (1990). His articles have appeared in numerous journals, including Women's Studies, Science-Fiction Studies, American Studies, Mythlore, College English, Extrapolation, and Papers on Language and Literature.
