He was inducted into the World Swimming Hall of Fame and the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame, where he was part of thei NCAA Team Champions. In 1989, he transitioned from swimming to healthcare and became a Doctor of Chiropractic. His journey took him to India as a medical missionary. Since 1997, he has been a dedicated disciple of Jesus.
