I've always wanted to visit other worlds. I began reading voraciously as a child and have never stopped. In books, I gained entry into strange realms where all manner of creatures lived, as well as wizards, witches, magicians, and of course ordinay people experiencing extraordinary events. I finally created a world of my own in The Abode, my first book. That process showed me that the deepest, most satisfying access to realms of fantasy happened when I began to write about the places and beings from my imagination. As I wrote, the characters in the story took over and taught me about their worlds.
