Pat Shipman

Pat Shipman is the author of many books, including The Invaders and The Animal Connection, as well as The Ape in the Tree, co-authored with Alan Walker, which won the W. W. Howells Award from the America Anthropological Association. Taking Wing won the Phi Beta Kappa Award in science and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Royal Geographical Society of London.
