Pat Higgins

Coach Pat Higgins grew up on the South Side of Chicago where he played baseball and basketball at Brother Rice High School before attending Lewis University. Upon graduation, he began his lengthy teaching and coaching career at Prairie Junior HighSchool in Alsip, Illinois. While at Prairie, Higgins also started coaching various sports at local high schools including Blue Island Eisenhower, Shepard, Stagg, Marist, and Marian Catholic. He was the head baseball coach at Shepard, Stagg, Marist, Marian Catholic, and Shepard, and finished the last eleven years of his career coaching Varsity Baseball (head coach) and Football (assistant) at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences. During his career, Coach Higgins shared many banners and trophies and won 519 games. He was the president of the South Inter-Conference Coaches Association (SICA) and was recently inducted into the Lewis University Academy of Coaches Hall of Fame.
