Parul SharmaSharma grew up in small towns of India, places of unhurried pace, dusty streets and quirky people. She never stopped thinking about those places and the people, and it reflects in her work, which often uses geographic settings as quiet characters. Paul deeply admires classical writers and remains committed to sharp humour and beautiful language as her primary tools of storytelling.
Parul’s other novels are Bringing Up Vasu: That First Year, By the Water Cooler and Tuki’s Grand Salon Chase. She is an alumna of MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad) and continues to work in the research and insights space. She currently lives with her family in Singapore.
