Oliver John is a debut writer and is currently training to become a primary school teacher. He is currently based in Woking, Surrey, where his novel was written. He has always been fascinated by red squirrels as his family holidays growing up alwys consisted of going to the Isle of Wight where they can still be seen in the wild today.
