Nirantar TrustNirantar Trust is a non-profit organization that has been working in the fields of gender, education and the democratic rights movement over the last two decades. They are an active part of the women’s movement in India and draw thei values from feminist principles. They are firmly rooted in communitybased work which informs their research and advocacy too.

Nirantar works with feminist pedagogy and practices to develop collective knowledge and resources about the lives of women in India.They make direct field interventions, build capacities, develop feminist leadership, create educational resources, and conduct research and advocacy deeply rooted in the lives of marginalized girls and women.

Restless in the City has emerged from a collective of feminist researchers and advocacy specialists. It was led by Ekta Oza and Sonam Grover with the guidance of Dr Sarada Balagopalan, Associate Professor of Childhood Studies at Rutgers University, Camden.
