Nicholas HasluckNicholas Hasluck was born in 1942. The son of Sir Paul Hasluck, a federal minister in the Menzies government and then the governor-general of Australia, Nicholas spent a considerable amount of his early years in Canberra, before studying law at the Uiversity of Western Australia and Oxford. After completing his studies, he worked briefly in Fleet Street before returning to Australia to work as a barrister.
