Nicholas Breton

Nicholas Breton (1544-1626?) was an English poet known for his pastoral poetry. George Wither (1588-1667) was a celebrated poet recognized for exploring poetry's power in everyday life. William Browne (1590-1645?) was a modest poet commended for hs pastoral themes and artless nature. The anthology editor, J. R. Tutin, aimed to preserve the works of these poets for future generations.
