Nayef JomaaNayef J. Jomaa is an Assistant Professor of Applied Linguistics at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences–Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. He possesses extensive international academic experience, having taught in Syria, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Oman. His research interests lie in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), functional grammar, second language (L2) writing, rhetoric and genre studies, discourse analysis, artificial intelligence in language learning, and Qur’anic linguistic rhetoric. Dr. Jomaa has published more than twenty-one papers indexed in Scopus, in addition to supervising fourteen master’s dissertations and seven doctoral theses. He currently serves as the principal investigator of a government-funded project on English language learning in Oman, aligned with the strategic goals of Oman Vision 2040.
