Nancy S. JeckerNancy S. Jecker is a philosopher and Professor of Ethics at the University of Washington School of Medicine, Department of Medical History and Ethics, where she also holds appointments in the Department of Philosophy and School of Law. Dr. Jecker hs authored over 100 articles and chapters on ethics and health care, which have appeared in The Journal of the American Medical Association, the Hastings Center Report, The Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, and other publications. Dr. Jecker has conducted research as a visiting scholar at the Stanford University Center for Biomedical Ethics, the Georgetown University Kennedy Institute of Ethics, the Hastings Center, the Princeton University DeCamp Program in Ethics and the Life Sciences, and was twice awarded Rockefeller Resident Fellowships, by the University of Texas Medical Branch Institute for Medical Humanities and the University of Maryland Center for Philosophy and Public Policy.
