Nancy Karrick
Nancy Karrick was born in Atmore, Alabama. After graduating high school, she attended Auburn University and earned a degree in Elementary Education and later received a Masters in Library Science degree from Florida State University. Karrick is wel-traveled, having been to all fifty states and 67 other countries around the world during her husband Charles' military career. She has worked as a medical librarian at the United States Military Academy as well as a school librarian in the United States and Belgium. Karrick also taught fourth and eighth grade before retiring in 2012. A booster for all things Atmore, Karrick has given walking tours of downtown Atmore, tours of stained glass windows in local churches, and tours of the historic Williams Station Cemetery for the Atmore Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, she enjoys cross stitch and embroidery, travel, reading, and cooking.
