Nancy Jo ShawNancy Jo Shaw has been richly immersed in children's literature her entire life. She grew up in South Dakota with teacher parents and grandparents that read to her daily and told her many stories about life on the prairie. Nancy decided to share her ove of reading and storytelling first to her own three sons, then with her elementary students, and now with her grandson, Sebastian. Happily retired from teaching first grade, she resides in Mendota Heights, Minnesota with her husband, two tabby cats, and a tiny Chihuahua named Pixie. A graduate from the University of South Dakota, she received her master's degree from Lesley University in Integrated Teaching through the Creative Arts. Nancy still tutors students at a neighborhood elementary school and is actively involved with youth programs and music at her Methodist church.
