Nancy Gardner Cassels

Nancy Gardner Cassels formerly taught in the Department of History, McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. She has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of Waterloo and a visiting assistant professor at the University of Toronto. />
She has been the recipient of a Carnegie Teaching Fellowship from 1959 to 1961, a Canada Council Research Grant in 1968, a Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute Senior Fellowship from 1988 to 1989 and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Research Grants from 1980 to 1981 and from 1987 to 1988.

She is also the author of Religion and Pilgrim Tax under the Company Raj, published in 1987.
