Myriam Moscona

Myriam Moscona es poeta, novelista, traductora y periodista cultural. Autora de diversos libros de poesía. Premio de Poesía Aguascalientes, becaria de la fundación Guggenheim, Premio Xavier Villaurrutia de Escritores para Escritors por Tela de sevoya, publicada en México, Argentina, Estados Unidos, Italia y próximamente en Francia. Negro marfil, su sexto libro, recibió el Landom Morton Award que otorga la Academia de Poetas Estadounidenses y el Pen International por la traducción de Jen Hofer al mejor libro vertido desde cualquier lengua. Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte. Escribe en castellano y en judeoespañol. León de Lidia es su segunda novela. Le fue concedido, por el conjunto de su obra, el Premio Manuel Lewinski cinco días antes de perder su casa en el sismo de 2017. Vive en la Ciudad de México con su perro Isaac.

Myriam Moscona is a poet, novelist, translator, and cultural journalist. She is the author of several poetry books and has received the Premio de Poesía Aguascalientes, a Guggenheim fellowship, and the Xavier Villaurrutia Award for Writers Writing About Writers for Tela de sevoya, published in Mexico, Argentina, the United States, Italy, and soon in France. Negro marfil, her sixth book, received the Landom Morton Award from the Academy of American Poets and the PEN International Award for its translation by Jen Hofer, recognizing it as the best work translated from any language.

She is a member of the National System of Art Creators. Moscona writes in both Spanish and Judeo-Spanish. León de Lidia is her second novel. For her body of work, she was awarded the Manuel Lewinski Prize just five days before losing her home in the 2017 earthquake. She lives in Mexico City with her dog Isaac.
