Mumtaz AlamMumtaz Alam is Assistant Professor of History and Associate Dean Learning and Teaching, College of Humanities and Education at Fiji National University. He earlier served as Head of the School of Arts and Humanities (2021), of the Department of Histoy (2014-17) and of the Department of Social Science (2017-20). He is a member of the American Historical Association, the Indian History Congress and the Pacific History Association. He has published numerous research papers in peer-reviewed journals and actively conducts research and edits journals. In 2011 he was awarded the Dr I.G.
