Mir Mohammad Alavi NikjeIn 1991 Mir Mohammad Alavi Nikje gained a BS degree in Applied Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Tehran University, Iran. In continuation of his studies he gained an MS degree in Organic Chemistry and graduated in 1994. In 2001 Alavi Nikje obtaine his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Tehran Teacher University. During his MS and PhD studies, he was an advisor at the Engineering Research Center (ERI). In 2001 he became Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at Imam Khomeini International University (IKIU). He conducted research on polymer functionalizations, polyurethane chemistry and synthesis, nanocomposites and condensed polymer chemical recycling using conventional heating methods as well as microwave energy. He researched chemical recycling of polyurethanes, PC and PET wastes using conventional heating methods and MW in order to recover value monomers and oligomers both in the laboratory and industrially. In the past five years he has transferred his industrial know-how on chemical recycling of rigid, flexible and microcellular polyurethane wastes. During the past decade he has published more than 200 papers, art works, presentations and patents. He became associated professor in 2008 and full professor in 2016. Read More Read Less
