Mimi SpearWhen I was a little girl we got a Beagle puppy. He was named Seward's Folly. William H. Seward, Secretary of State for Pres. Lincoln, aided the USA in buying the Alaskan Territory. It was called Seward's Folly. Daddy named our dog for his relative. Sward was a great puppy, going everywhere with us and sleeping in my bed! I am now a Grandmother. I like to garden, sew, and give books to my family and friendsI donate Seward's adventures to city and school libraries around the country. Seward's books have been given to Missions outside the US. Seward can also be found in the USO Lounge at Dulles National Airport and in the Library of Congress. My books have been donated to Lending Libraries in Virginia and North Carolina.
