Mike RendellMike Rendell has written sixteen books, mostly about Georgian England. His interest in the period was inspired by a fascinating cache of papers left by his 18th-century ancestors, leading him to write _The Journal of a Georgian Gentleman_. His books ith Pen & Sword cover topics as diverse as piracy, the history of gin, shipwrecks, harlots and whores, important inventors, and trailblazing women of the eighteenth century. His most recent book tells the life story of Captain William Bligh, a much-maligned man. When not writing, he talks on Georgian topics both in Britain and abroad, particularly on board cruise ships. He travels extensively, but his home is in Dorset. Read More Read Less
