A musician on the 1960s R&B and rock scene, Mike Evans began writing about music in the 1970s, presenting a weekly show on local radio and as a regular contributor to the leading UK music weekly Melody Maker. As an authorhis books have included The Blues: A Visual History (2014), Woodstock: Three Days that Rocked the World (2009, updated 2019), and The Who: Much Too Much (2021).
