Michele ShoverMichele Shover is an emerita professor and former chair of the Department of Political Science at California State University, Chico. For forty years she has published primary research-based articles in California History, California Territorial Quarerly and The Californians on significant aspects of northern Butte County history. Among other subjects, her book Exploring Chico's Past addresses the roles of women, anti-Chinese violence and the challenges Blacks experienced in Chico as a rural farm town.
