Michael StrandCaptain Michael Strand, United States Army (Ret.), was a boyhood friend in Toledo, Ohio, of Robert Franklin, founder of McFarland. Strand was commissioned in 1967 and assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. After jump school and ranger school, he wassent to the 6th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division, Vietnam.
