Michael MabeMichael R. Mabe is the Executive Director of the Chesterfield County Public Library in Chesterfield County, VA. Mike has worked in a variety of executive managerial positions include Assistant Director, Dauphin County Library System, Harrisburg, PA; ean of Library Services, San Juan College, Farmington, NM and Department Manager, Salt Lake City Public Library, Salt Lake City, UT. He holds a BS from the University of Utah; MPA from Brigham Young University; and an MLIS Brigham Young University. Mike has presented at state and national associations on a variety of topics including, quality management, strategic planning, emergency services, staff training and library innovation. He has also published in the areas emergency services in public libraries and strategic planning. Mike and his wife are the parents of five children and 20 grandchildren.
