A retired history professor, Piper now spends his timepursuing his dream of writing books. He is an avid history buff wit a particular interest in late19th and early 20th century American history, true crime, and social injustices. When he's notwriting, Piper can be found spending time with his three grown children and four grandchildrenor playing dominoes, chess, or checkers. He also enjoys an occasional round of golf or a game ofpoker with friends, as well as spending time at the local park when the weather is nice.
