Michael J. EmeryDr. Michael Emery is the chairman of the Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is also co-director of the Sacred Heart University/Saint Charles Health and Wellness Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Dr. Emery is a Physical Therapist by professional training and an academic administrator of programs in physical therapy, athletic training and exercise science. He has also led the development of a comprehensive faculty practice on campus and in the community, the establishment of a Motion Analysis Laboratory within the department and the creation of a wellness center. His scholarship includes the areas of physical therapy education, educational leadership, workforce analysis, and treatment of chronic musculoskeletal disorders.
