Michael J. CollinsMichael J. Collins (he/him) is Reader in American Studies at King's College London where he is Deputy Head of School, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. Recent essays on Mark Twain, Claude McKay and W.E.B DuBois have appeared in Texual Practice, English Language Notes and The Palgrave Handbook to Twentieth Century Literature and Science (ed. Priscilla Wald), respectively. He is the author of The Drama of the American Short Story, 1800- 1865 (2016) and is co-editor of the Cambridge Companion to the American Short Story with Prof Gavin Jones.
