Michael J AlsupTraveling to another part of the world opened up a passion with photography. Photographing people in another culture and in which they live was not only intriguing, but it led me to the inspiration of writing. For nearly thirty years, I've listened t audio books, and read stories about different cultures, places, the good times and the bad, and how it stirs my imagination. As I writer, I challenge myself with every book to bring out a vision that only a good story can tell. Being married to a Filipina woman, I only knew about their culture from talking to her or the local Filipino organization in our area. When an opportunity came our way to travel to the Philippines for a vacation, I was all for it. Meeting folks half way around the world, I felt as though I knew them my whole life. I saw firsthand how proud the Filipinos are. They work relentless amounts of hours on their jobs so they can provide for their families. As a photographer, I was able to capture many different aspects of their lives. When returning home, and reviewing the images, I saw the story Miracles Are Chosen come to life. So for those moments of listening, reading, and experiencing the world in which they live, I am truly grateful to see and be a part of another culture on our planet. Read More Read Less
