Michael I. GoranDr Michael Goran is one of the world’s most widely recognized experts in childhood obesity research, with more than 30 years of experience as a researcher, mentor and educator. He is a Professor of Preventive Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Michael is the founding Director of the USC Childhood Obesity Research Center and the Co-Director of the USC Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute. He holds the Dr Robert C and Veronica Atkins Endowed Chair in Childhood Obesity and Diabetes. Michael is a native of Glasgow, Scotland, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester, UK.
