Michael Hyman
Michael R. Hyman (Ph.D., Purdue University) is President of the Institute for Marketing Futurology and Philosophy in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and Disinguished Achievement Professor Emeritus of Marketing at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. His roughly 140 academic journal articles (in outlets such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Macromarketing, International Journal of Market Research, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Business Ethics), 60 conference papers, five co-authored/co-edited books), 30 other academic articles, and 50 non-academic articles, attest to this writing compulsion. He has served on 16 journal editorial boards and as a journal co-editor and associate editor. His research interests include marketing theory, marketing ethics, public policy and marketing, consumers’ responses to advertising, survey research methods, philosophical analyses in marketing, and marketing futurology. Now a loyal New Mexican, he splits his time between Las Cruces and Cloudcroft with his wife, four sons, three dogs, and three cats.
