Michael GomilaMichael Gomila Ph.D. is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Louisiana Monroe’s Criminal Justice Department. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in counseling and has worked almost exclusively in the behavioral health treatment field since the earning of his degree. Dr. Gomila has been instrumental in developing and supervising various offender treatment programs that include drug courts, prison-based, and outpatient programs. He has also been involved in policy making decisions on a state level, advocating for treatment reforms that would ultimately have a substantial impact on minority offenders.
