Michael G. Waltz ​represents North Central Florida in Congress, is a colonel in the National Guard, a combat-decorated Green Beret, and a former White House and Pentagon policy advisor. He served more than twenty-six years in the U.S. rmy and as a member of Congress was heavily involved with assisting Americans and Afghans during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Peter Bergen is the author of four books about Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda, including, most recently, Manhunt: The Ten-Year Search for bin Laden from 9/11 to Abbottabad.
