Michael FischerederProf. Dr. med. Michael Fischereder is a Professor of Internal Medicine with a focus on Nephrology at the LMU Hospital in Munich. After studying human medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, he completed his clinical residncy in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota, USA. Following this, he joined the LMU Hospital in Munich, where he finalized his clinical training and earned his Ph.D. in Nephrology. During his subsequent role as a senior physician at the University Hospital Regensburg, clinical transplant nephrology was a particular focus. After his habilitation, he was called back to the LMU Hospital, initially as a senior consultant. Since 2007, Prof. Dr. med. Michael Fischereder has been heading the Nephrology department.
