I love books. I love storytelling. I grew up in a rich environment of make-believe and fantasy.

My father was a career Navy man. I heard wonderful stories from him that shaped my writing and found a home in my stories. From his small town upringing in nowhere Texas to Vietnam, ports around the world, and finally back home in the Lone Star State. His voice always echoes in my head when I write a story.

My mother is a beautiful lady with a more beautiful heart. The wife of a Sailor is not an easy one, especially when you have four boys and one girl. In all that chaos and uncertainty, she made life for us a blast. Never without adventure and never without love.

My family and upbringing is what I cherish the most. It shaped me and my stories.
