His extensive career spans service with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Fire Research Laboratory and the Arson and Explosives Training Branch. He also served as Program Manager of the Fire and Arson Investigation Training Curriculum at the National Fire Academy (NFA) in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
