Melrose Cooper

Melrose Cooper was inspired to write Life Magic after someone dear to her lost a close friend to AIDS. As a frequent speaker at urban elementary schools, Ms. Cooper is always surprised by the number of children whose lives are affected directly orindirectly by AIDS. She hopes that writing about the subject will make it a little easier for young readers to understand a very painful and difficult illness.

The mother of six children, a granddaughter, and many pets, Ms. Cooper lives in Hamburg, New York.
