Melanie Calan SanchezPamela grew up in an Air Force family and her father was stationed in Hawaii for a tour of duty for four years. She has also lived in Alabama, Washington D.C. area during the Kennedy administration and Randolph Air Force Base in Texas. She studied atSalem College in Winston-Salem and obtained her master's degree in children's literature for a media specialist and children's librarian occupation.She calls Wadesboro, North Carolina home because it was her father's home and they spent many vacations there growing up.
