Martin SettleMartin Settle is a writer, teacher, and assemblage artist in Charlotte, North Carolina. He taught English for 32 years, the last 17 at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Settle is the author of eight books (two memoirs, an art design book, a joke book, and four books of poetry). He has been awarded the Thomas McDill Award and the Poetry of Courage Award (both from the North Carolina Poetry Society), the Nazim Hikmet Poetry Award, and the Griffin-Farlow Haiku Award.
