Mark DurdenMark Durden is Professor of Photography in the Faculty of Creative Industries at the University of South Wales, having previously taught at University of Derby and Staffordshire University. He is author of Photography Today: A History of Contemprary Photography (Phaidon Press, 2014), which has been translated into Spanish, French and Chinese editions, and Dorothea Lange in Phaidon 55's series (Phaidon, 2001). He is co-editor of The Routledge Companion to Photography Theory (Routledge, 2018) and editor of 50 Key Writers on Photography (Routledge, 2013). He is co-author of Double Act: Art and Comedy (Bluecoat, 2016) and Variable Capital (Liverpool University Press, 2008). He has written for many journals, including Creative Camera, Photoworks, Portfolio, Next Level, Foto8, Parachute, Art Monthly, Source, Camera Austria, History of Photography and Frieze.
