Maria Chiara ScappaticcioMARIA CHIARA SCAPPATICCIO is Professor in Latin Language and Literature at the University of Naples 'Federico II', where she was also Principal Investigator for the European Research Council-funded project PLATINUM (Papyri and LAtin Texts: INsights ad Updated Methodologies. Towards a Philological, Literary and Historical Approach to Latin Papyri – ERC-StG 2014 no. 636983). She has held several postdoctoral fellowships, including one at the Institut de Recherche et d'Histoire des Textes (IRHT) in Paris, and has been a visiting fellow at Columbia University, New York University, the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa) and the Université de Paris Sorbonne. Her research focusses on Latin literary texts transmitted by papyrus, on ancient education and grammar, on fragmentary Latin literature and on Latin literacy.
