Immediately after the war in Germany he discovers the Holocaust and the death camps. In his novel, he uses his Army position to assist te Underground Jewish Brigade in collecting military supplies for Palestine and to help desperate Jewish refugees reach there, the only place that wanted them. He falls in love with a Jewish survivor from Poland and follows her to Palestine. There he fought in the many wars to establish Israel as a Jewish homeland.Rubin previously published KEEP YOUR BRAIN ALIVE (Workman) and 60 WAYS TO RELIEVE STRESS IN 60 SECONDS (Workman and Manning Rubin Publishing).Manning was an award-winning creative executive for several major New York Advertising firms. He worked on a client roster reading like a" Who's Who" of major corporations.He holds an MA in Writing, Speech, and Drama (Johns Hopkins); a BA in History and English (University of Richmond, Virginia); and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.As volunteer Creative Director for The Anti-Defamation League, he created and consulted on scores of public service ads for over thirty years to fight prejudice and ads to support Israel. He has lectured extensively on Neurobics, the new science of brain exercise, which he helped develop with the late Dr. Lawrence Katz.
