Mandy Toomey Traverse City native Mandy Toomey had a career in the music industry as a country artist, touring and performing with many major label artists before settling into her new career, Motherhood. Having worked with children throughout her life, Mandy lerned the importance of introducing children to books and reading at an early age. The 2001 graduate of Traverse City Central High School had no idea that becoming a mom would inspire her to write her own children s book. Mandy resides in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, John, and daughter, Arden.
