Malcom Stuart Raven
Malcolm Stuart Raven is engaged in theoretical and experimental work on aspects of the skin effect in solid and tubular conductors, and the development of electronic measuring techniques, operating from his own laboratory in the UK. From 1978 to hs retirement in 2001, he was a lecturer in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Nottingham. His research and publications mainly concerned the growth and analysis of thin films and devices and high-temperature superconducting thin films. This included teaching in the USA and presenting conference and seminar talks to universities and industry in the UK, Europe and Japan. He also worked in collaboration with the physics department at Nottingham and was a founding member of the Nottingham University Molecular Beam Epitaxy Research Syndicate (NUMBERS).
