After earning her Master of Science degree at Florida State University, she worked in public schools in Florida, Los Angeles ad the Cayman Islands where she also had a private speech and language practice. In the course of her work with hundreds of children, she recognized that there was a gap in children understanding the association between the written word and the spoken word. Desirous of filling this need, she developed this evolved method of teaching reading. She has used her approach to teaching reading at the IRead For Life Center for over a decade.
