M G StephensM. G. Stephens was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, and further out on Long Island, the third of sixteen children. He published his first book, the novel Season at Coole with E. P. Dutton over fifty years ago, an continues to write and publish regularly. He graduated from City College of New York and Yale University, and later in life, living in England, he wrote a Ph.D., at the University of Essex, on the early years of the Poetry Project at St. Mark's in the Bouwerie.
