M DanielProf. Mammen Daniel is presently the Head, Department of Botany of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. He obtained M.Sc. from Kerala University in 1971 and Ph. D. from M.S.University in1976. An acclaimed authority on Phytochemistryand Herbal Technology, he has authored nine books of international repute and more than 120 research publications in various acclaimed journals. His other areas of research interest are Taxonomy, Allelopathy and Phytoalexins. He is an active researcher and has conducted a number of research projects funded by UGC, DST and DBT.
